As regards to the advance of £10 in Hongkong for the incidental expenses of my journey to this country, I should say that I have spent more than this amount on the transportation of my luggage from the place I lived in Hongkong to the wharf, and the miscellaneous expenses while on board the ship such as haircutting, shaving, drinks laundry etc.
